The fighters took off and landed on the highway.
The German Air Force told Bild that German aircraft have been taking part in the exercises since September 4.
They are also stationed at the Rovaniemi air base, located 147 kilometers from the Russian border.
As noted by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the build-up of NATO’s military capabilities near Russia’s borders is provocative in nature.
At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that the Russian Federation has no intention of fighting with European countries or attacking the states of the North Atlantic Alliance.
