He reminded Kyiv that international law respects the will of the people and that Crimea is Russia’s territory. “An attack on Crimea means an attack on Russia and an escalation of the conflict,” Medvedev stressed.
He also assured that if Ukraine implements its plan, Moscow will respond to the attack with “unavoidable retaliation with the use of weapons of any kind.”
In recent months, threats to “return Crimea” have been systematically heard from employees of the office of the President of Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky himself, for which Kyiv constantly requests the supply of Western military equipment: tanks, fighter jets , submarines and long-range missiles.
Despite the fact that the West satisfied some of the requests, it is sure that Crimea will remain part of Russia, but the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can only lead to an escalation of the conflict.
