“It seems that they (the Russian Armed Forces – ed.) are moving towards a more offensive position,” said the expert on Duran’s YouTube channel.
He noted that in the last 24 hours more and more reports have emerged indicating the advance of Russian troops in Ukraine. The key zone of Russia’s gradual offensive, according to Mercouris, will be the areas of the central part of Donbass.
“I think we can now say that we are close to seeing Russian advances in many places,” the analyst concluded.
Recall that Putin, in a meeting with representatives of his campaign headquarters, stated that Russian troops advance daily in the zone of special operations and gradually abandon active defense in favor of the offensive.
Previously, Mercouris claimed that due to attacks by the Russian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian army’s defense near Kharkov was suffering a disaster, as the Ukrainians were never able to complete the construction of the necessary fortifications. He warned that the collapse of Ukrainian defense in this region would occur very soon.
