There is less than a month left until the first day of autumn (sit down if you are standing), which means there is very little time left to implement your favorite summer nail designs. This time, together with the founder of Devichnik studio Daria Mutina and manicurist Polina Zaitseva, we have chosen 7 main trends of the season that are definitely worth following before returning to the office.
FANTASY GEL DRAWINGS
Volumetric gel nail designs are an obvious trend this summer. You want to constantly touch, look at and photograph this 3D manicure. It is quite simple to do: apply a gel texture on any base, whether it is rub-on or regular nude. In this way we create smooth lines, beads, geometric patterns and even go beyond the contour of the nail itself. The main thing is to dry the resulting structure well in a lamp. Suitable for lovers of unusual accessories, because the nails themselves will become a bright accent in the image.
AT THE CORE AESTHETICS OF SIRENA
Mermaid manicure began to gain popularity last year, of course, along with the arrival of mermaid-core. To accurately match the aesthetics, it is worth refraining from bright colors and opting for pastel, transparent and metallic shades. Do not be alarmed: there is still some way to go. Feel free to add everything related to the sea and relaxation on the beach, for example, decor in the form of shells, pearls, flowers and miniature starfish. You can repeat their shape using a thick transparent gel. We are sure that such art will be an excellent statement for those who have never gone on their long-awaited vacation.

When, if not in the summer, should we experiment and boycott the much-loved nude? We know that it always comes to the rescue when we run out of ideas for new designs. But not right now. We look at the brightest and most incompatible (at first glance) colors and textures and create our own manicure, unique and, most importantly, unlike any other manicure. Your nails will become a canvas on which you can draw bright lines, geometric shapes, gradients, ombres and designs. Those who are not yet ready for such bold creative statements should limit themselves to one color for each finger. Such contrasting combinations will create a dynamic and memorable beauty image that will not only attract attention, but also lift your spirits.

The “satin cat” design came to us from Korea, it seems like 10 years ago. During this time, it managed to top the ratings of both the main trends and anti-trends of leading nail designers. Well, this season the “silk cat” (another name) has again appeared on the moodboards of fashionistas. Its main feature is a beautiful highlight that is refracted at different angles and looks unusual on both short and long nails. You can also choose a light or dark palette, bright or pastel. In any case, an up-to-date manicure, which is worth doing before the end of summer (in case the office dress code does not allow it), is guaranteed.
THAT PERFECT NUDE
If you have tried all the most creative options and at the end of summer you want to minimize the visual noise around you, let’s remember the ideal nude. A clear, discreet and natural manicure will resonate with all accessories, clothes and will be a great reset before autumn, where, as we look at the water, leopard, gold and coffee will again take the top spots. Don’t forget about lip gloss nails – a manicure with a glossy finish, as if you had applied lip gloss instead of nail polish. This way the nail plate will definitely get a break from all the experiments. The final touch is an accent in the form of an almost invisible pastel jacket or a brighter monochrome line.
ANY FRENCH PERSON BUT NOT WHITE
Speaking of French. Surely you remember how popular this French manicure was a few years ago. However, today it seems like it was in a past life. You can replace the clean white lines at the end of the nail with gold, multi-colored or shiny, and most importantly, wide eyeliners. With this design you will be able to sit on two chairs and remain faithful to the classic palette and contrasting color schemes.
TWO HANDS – TWO COLORS
Finally, another nail design, the logic of which is extremely simple. Two coats, which means two colors. If you think that at the end of the season you won’t have time to try all your favorite shades or choosing one has always been difficult for you, we have found a solution. Any palette will do, the main thing is that you like it. Manicure fits perfectly with any style and occasion. If you want to mix not only different colors, but also designs, we apply a transparent gel, draw clean lines or opt for a fancy decor. We boldly use the trick and will carry it with us in the coming seasons.
