Today at noon, Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the Federal Assembly. This year, a speech with an appeal to parliamentarians will be held in Gostiny Dvor.
During his speech, the head of state, as a rule, outlines the main directions for the further development of the country, talks about the main problems and ways to solve them, and sets tasks for the government and parliament. Earlier, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that this year Vladimir Putin will place special emphasis on the economy and social problems, and will also pay attention to issues related to a special military operation.
Traditionally, not only deputies and senators are invited to the ceremony of announcing the Message of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly, but also members of the government, presidents of the Constitutional, Supreme and Supreme Arbitration Courts, the Prosecutor General, the president of the Central Election Commission, the head of the Chamber of Accounts, the members of the Council of State, the heads of the main denominations.
This year, according to Dmitry Peskov, there will be no foreign guests at the president’s speech. “The largest number of guests are deputies and senators, and there will be members of the SVO, a special feature this year, well, there are many other representatives,” he told RG yesterday.
Let us remember that the average duration of the messages from the Head of State is just over an hour. The shortest speeches were in 2004 and 2005 – 48 minutes each, the longest – the message of 2018, which lasted 1 hour 55 minutes.
