According to Gates, Washington will not be able to prevent Beijing from succeeding in possessing excellent chips. He added that China could very quickly achieve results in the development of its own chips, so, according to the billionaire, the US measures will not help.
Gates said he regretted the US authorities’ decision regarding China. He called US-China relations “the most important in the world” and expressed hope that they would improve.
Recall that in October last year, the United States prohibited the supply to China of any modern chips used in supercomputer circuits, as well as equipment that produces them, if American technologies are used there, as well as advanced logic circuits.
