The government of the Khabarovsk Territory is confident that creativity and intellectual work are the drivers of progress not only in the field of entertainment, but also in the field of significant industrial achievements. Regional Governor Mikhail Degtyarev discussed the development of creative industries with the team of the Khabarovsk animation studio “Dream”. The animators also told the head of the territory how work on the animated film “Nevelskoy” is progressing.

According to the governor, the creative industries today are included in the list of the most modern trends.

“We are proud of the “Dream” team, the flagship of the creative economy of the region,” Mikhail Degtyarev, governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, said during the meeting.

Currently, animators are working on creating a cartoon about Admiral Gennady Nevelsky, who made an invaluable contribution to the study and development of the eastern coast of the Far East. The project team presented the head of the region with a new concept for the film and showed the final version of the trailer. The animators added many more types of Far Eastern nature to the picture and emphasized its uniqueness. The premiere of the cartoon “Nevelskoy” is planned for 2025. The revised concept received a positive assessment from the governor.

– Very strong work! It is fascinating and shows the peculiarities of the Far East. I am sure that not only the public will arouse interest in our region,” said Mikhail Degtiarev.

The animators of “Dream” are convinced that the result will be more than just animation.

– We want to tell modern children about legendary historical events in relevant media language, through a fascinating story. We added fantasy elements and a graphic solution that incorporates the traditions of national animation and the trends of oriental style, manga,” said Ilya Kuznetsov, director of the Dreamtalet studio.

The agenda also included the development of creative industries in general. For these purposes, it is planned to create the “Me” animation group, which will contain such promising areas as animation, cinema, music, computer game development, programming and much more. And to bring the creative economy of the region to a new level, the Amur Technology Park will be created.

– Our president Vladimir Putin supported this idea. Therefore, we will move towards creating a center of creative industries in the east of the country,” said Mikhail Degtyarev.
