Spotify has announced that Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” has set a new record for most streams in a single week. Since its premiere on January 12, the single has received 101,838,799 views. Variety writes about it.

Jana Coffey, Spotify’s director of artist and label partnerships, said “Flowers” has grown in popularity by the day. While tracks usually have the most streams on the day of the premiere, the number of which decreases during the week.

The previous record holder for Spotify streams in one week was BTS’s “Butter,” which reached nearly 100 million in its first seven days.

Miley Cyrus announced the release of her new single “Flowers” during Miley’s New Year’s Eve party. At the event, the singer acted as a presenter along with Dolly Parton, with whom she also performed several songs.
