Ministry of Energy: There was no external influence on the gas pipeline that burned near Saratov – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Date: July 14, 2024 Time: 13:36:27

The fire broke out on the afternoon of June 15 in a section of the main pipeline near the village of Storozhevka. Governor Roman Busargin said the fire occurred after the gas pipeline was depressurized. According to preliminary data, the cause of the emergency was abnormal heat.

According to the Ministry of Energy, there were no external influences on the pipeline. The gas company can begin repairing the site.

As a result of the emergency there were no injuries, but the electricity supply to nine towns was interrupted and flames up to five meters high damaged power lines. Now consumers have been switched to backup power circuits.
