Wednesday’s government meeting began with a minute’s silence in memory of the fallen in the Great Patriotic War.

– 81 years ago the Great Patriotic War began. This is a day of remembrance and mourning. In the rear and on the front lines, people fought to defend the independence of our country. We are grateful to the generation that defeated fascism and gave us the future. It is important that the memory of these heroes is carefully kept in every Russian family,” Mishustin said.

After that, Mishustin moved on to the meeting agenda. The prime minister announced that he had signed a government decree to reduce the prime mortgage rate from 9 to 7%.

“Not only will this measure help more people buy affordable homes, it will also provide significant support to the construction sector, cargo capacities and related industries,” Mishustin said.

The amount of the subsidized loan is 12 million rubles for the Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Leningrad regions and 6 million rubles for other Russian entities.

In addition, from May 1, the maximum loan amount for a mortgage with a preferential rate was increased to 30 million and 15 million rubles, respectively.

Mishustin also said that the budget in the first quarter of this year received a quarter of more revenue than expected.

– The results of the first three months show that revenues exceed the forecast figures by almost a quarter and by more than a third – the figures for the same period of the previous year, which amount to more than 7 billion. rubles,” Mishustin said.

The prime minister said that the government will continue to fulfill all social obligations on time.

At its meeting, the government also approved a five-year plan for road activities. More than 5 trillion rubles will be allocated from the federal treasury. According to Mishustin, taking into account the investment of regional budgets and the National Welfare Fund, the funding will exceed 13 trillion rubles in five years.
