According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the Moscow Government for Transport and Industry, the third cycling festival of this year was held on September 14. The route ran from the main square of VDNKh along the Moscow High-Speed Ring Road and the North-West Highway to Krylatskaya Street. “This is one of the longest distances in the history of Moscow cycling festivals,” he said.
The start of the cycling column was separated this time. Three groups of participants started the race at 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00. This helped to avoid large crowds of cyclists along the route and made the journey more comfortable. As Liksutov noted, cyclists are fully involved in road traffic and infrastructure is improved for their comfort.
