The agency recorded a significant increase in the flow of people: for example, from December 26, 2022 to January 1, 2023, 201,760 foreigners crossed the Moldovan border. The majority actively crossed the border from Moldova to Romania: 55 percent of the total number of foreigners.
For a week, 218 foreign citizens and 70 vehicles were denied entry into Moldova.
In the first days of 2023, there is a lot of movement at the border: almost 11 thousand people left Moldova. However, the busiest border points are Chisinau International Airport, Leuseni BCP and Sculeni BCP. To facilitate transit, the number of employees was increased and reverse transit was applied at ground controls, reports the IPN.
