Moschino, spring-summer 2025 men’s collection

Date: July 14, 2024 Time: 14:23:49

Adrian Appiolaza showed a completely safe and coherent collection that combined a men’s show and a cruise. This is the second attempt for the designer, who was appointed creative director of Moschino after the sudden death of Davide Renne.

Already in his debut, Appiolaza made it clear that his vision for the brand would be based on irony and portability; in fact, those pillars in which Franco Moschino himself trusted. And the current spectacle, shown against the backdrop of suitcases of different sizes scattered around the place, is a clear confirmation of this. They, suitcases, may be an obvious association in the “cruise – trip – suitcase” series, but they in no way spoil the overall impression with their simplicity.

Here we see all the familiar Easter eggs that reference different periods of the brand: red carnations, hearts, clouds, bananas, soccer balls, big Moschino inscriptions on T-shirts (remember, everyone used to wear them?) .

The heroes of this mixed Appiolaza collection seemed to be in a hurry to go from the stuffy offices to the beach: during the show they exchanged classic shirts, skirts, suits and trench coats for a total white, reminiscent of the Moroccan images of Loulou de la Falaise, cozy white suits (it seems that the designer himself likes them), skirts and jackets with the aforementioned soccer balls, jackets with absolutely Italian still lifes, snow-white bathrobes from hotels, skirts and blouses that seem to be made of silk scarves .

I liked the paired outputs. Especially the “rural” residents: spikes of flowers with bouquets protruded from the wide pockets of the overalls, and several geese from the shirt moved gently over the midi dress. The latter was combined with sandals with feathers, which seemed to continue the overall image – the feathers of geese.

Appiolaza and his team did a great job with the group of accessories: here you have leopard print, straw and those slats that housed a mini version of the cruise ship that takes us on a cruise, caps, turbans, panamas and wide-brimmed hats. . We couldn’t overlook the thread bags, the silk bags and a heart-shaped case where you want to store your most valuable things.
