On June 3-4, Gorky Park will host the Moscow Children’s Art Festival “Nebo” for the first time. A large-scale family festival is organized for Children’s Day. About 70 events will take place at 7 park sites. The festival program will captivate both children and adolescents as well as their parents.
An interdisciplinary approach will allow everyone to find something to their liking here: scientific experiments and exhibitions, walking shows and stage movement master classes, DJs and contemporary art, spectacular theater performances and concerts. The brightest theatrical and musical performances will take place on the Main Stage of the Festival, near the Figurative Fountain. Performers of the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, the Moscow Musical Theater “Helikon-Opera” under the direction of Dmitry Bertman, the independent theater “Trickster”, as well as Alisa Grebenshchikova, accordionist and composer Pyotr Dranga with an orchestra will perform there.
There will also be projections of performances from inclusive theaters and theaters whose actors are children. The festival will be closed by the symphonic fairy tale “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev and “Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saens with the participation of Evgeny Mironov and Irina Pegova, accompanied by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ivan Rudin. The dance floor of the Callejón Central will become immersive: the first day, the program will be dedicated to theater and circus, and the second, to dance and music.
The second day will be entirely dedicated to plastic arts and vocal technique. Master classes and performances will be given by the Schene Theater-Studio of classical and modern choreography, singer-songwriter Sabrina Bagirova, professor of stage movement at the HSE Film Institute, founder of Movementology Igor Sharoiko. The Green School, in partnership with the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, will host animation and dance master classes and, of course, screenings of everyone’s favorite cartoons and meetings with their main characters.
