Movies from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series will be removed from the Kinopoisk online cinema library. They will not be available from February 1, 2023. This is how the Bulletin of the film distributor writes.
Some major streaming services’ contracts with Warner Bros., which released the Harry Potter films, expire in Q4 2022 and Q1 2023. This explains the removal of the paintings. At Kinopoisk, they were available through a partnership with Amediateka.
In the past year, projects like House Doctor, Friends, The Lord of the Rings, and The Mask all disappeared from Kinopoisk.
Recall that on January 19 in Kinopoisk the premiere of the series based on the novel by Boris Akunin “Azazel” took place. The events of the show do not take place in the 19th century, as in the original version, but in an alternate year of 2023, in which the monarchy has been preserved.
