British indie rock band The 1975 have released a video for the song “Oh Caroline”, which is featured on their fifth studio album Being Funny in a Foreign Language. In the video, frontman Matthew Healy appears as an old man reminiscing about his youth. When the musician strikes his reed like a guitar, he is transported to when he was on stage with his best friends: guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross McDonald and drummer George Daniel.
Two weeks after posting the snippet on TikTok, one of the most popular British rappers to date, Central Cee, released the song “Let Her Go” on the venues. It is based on a sample of the song of the same name by British folk-rock artist Passenger. The sentimental song was produced by Nastylgia, who worked on other Central Cee hits “Obsessed With You” and “Retail Therapy.”

Big Baby Tape continues to prepare listeners for his new solo album, due out next year. The rapper’s new work “Like a G6” is a reimagining of the Far East Movement hit of the same name, which became the lead single of 2010. He wrote the music himself.
Iggy Pop releases ‘Strung Out Johnny’. Like the previously released single “Frenzy”, it will be included on the artist’s new studio album called “Every Loser”. The release is scheduled for January 6, 2023. There will be eleven songs on the album in total. Iggy also announced an upcoming US tour starting in April.
Chief Keef has released an extended edition of his 10 year old album “Finally Rich”. The record can rightfully be considered a modern trap classic and on a par with a release like Waka Flocka Flame “Flockaveli”.
The extended version featured seven songs previously unavailable for streaming and fans had to make do with poor quality on SoundCloud and YouTube. Alongside the re-released tracks on the album are the hits “Love Sosa” and “I Don’t Like” and other compositions. And on January 20, Chief Keef will present the highly anticipated album “Almighty So 2”, which will feature exclusively new material.

The group “My Michel” presented the album “From Flowers and Darkness”. It has eleven songs written mostly between 2020 and 2022. Including the well-known songs “Bird” and “Jacket”. New band Thom Yorke and Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, which they created together with jazz drummer Tom Skinner, have released the album “Live At Montreux Jazz Festival, July 2022”. This is a recording of their performance at a festival in the Swiss city of Montreux. The release includes seven tracks from The Smile’s first full-length studio album, “A Light for Attracting Attention”. In the video of the concert, which is released in parallel to the live album, there is a bit more material: instrumental improvisation and the song “Bending Hectic” have been added, which has not yet been released on streaming. The video was only available on the channel for a limited time.
Swedish musician Jonathan Leandoer, who became famous under the nickname Yung Lean, released the song “Blue Light” under a different name: Jonatan Leandoer96. The composition turned out to be unusual for a musician – it is not hip-hop, but experimental pop music. “Blue Light” is the first track on the upcoming album “Sugar World”. It will be released on February 3, 2023.

Slava Marlow’s new release was called “Tuzik”, after the musician’s childhood toy. His parents gave the singer the stuffed animal when he was five years old. According to the artist, the album is his best work at the moment. “Tuzik” consists of nine tracks. The album contains a joint song with Leroy Mayak and Platinum called “Children’s Trauma”.

“City of Unfulfilled Hopes” is a lyrical composition full of melancholy and loneliness. On the track, the interpreter addresses a disillusioned girl who leaves the city without finding her happiness in it. The song’s arrangement is based on an acoustic piano. The song is an ideological continuation of one of the artist’s main hits – “Flakes are flying up”. The artist himself calls his new single “sad flakes”.
The team of the late rapper Juice WRLD continues to release songs that he didn’t have time to share in life. It looks like the rapper’s unreleased material will last for many more years. “Face 2 Face” will appear on the forthcoming posthumous album “The Party Never Ends”, due for release next year. The song was produced by Charlie Handsome, Rex Kudo, and Joe Reeves.
