Natalya Sergunina: Students of children’s art schools in Moscow received more than 25 thousand awards in 2022 KXan 36 Daily News

The deputy mayor said: “Even the most talented children need to create the conditions for them to reveal their talent. Moscow has maintained a high level of education for decades. He added that the number of children’s schools and art colleges in Moscow exceeds 150. In 2022, new areas have appeared in various institutions: sound engineering, web design, animation and others.

Everyone can see the performances of children and adolescents at city events. Thus, on June 1 last year, Zaryadye Park hosted the Grand Festival of Art Schools, which was attended by 50,000 people. The event brought together 1,800 young talents: groups, soloists, laureates of international and All-Russian competitions. They hosted their show alongside famous artists. The online broadcasts were then watched by around half a million viewers.

Throughout the year, the development of creative schools continued in the capital as part of the Moscow Mayor’s large-scale program “Art for Children”. In 2022, after modernization, several institutions were opened, in particular, the children’s music school No. 4 and the children’s art school named after Alexander Alyabyev. They did a big renovation, they put the whole place and its surroundings in order, they bought new furniture and musical instruments. In addition, construction of buildings for two educational institutions in the capital’s Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts (TiNAO) has begun: the Moscow City Children’s Art School and the Mikhailovo-Yartsevskaya Children’s Art School.

The Art for Children project has been operating in Moscow since 2018. Thanks to it, creative schools develop existing ones and open up new, in-demand areas of training (electronic music, photography, computer graphics, and others). Currently, 130 buildings have been comprehensively repaired and another 29 buildings have been extensively renovated, 38,000 sets of furniture and almost 13,000 new tools have already been purchased.
