In the Ust-Pogromny bay, a passenger VAZ was raised from a depth of 45 meters. The body of the woman, who was inside, was handed over to the police, the regional institution Rescuers reported.
The car fell through the ice on December 22. After the incident, employees of the regional department of the Investigative Committee explained that the spouses were traveling in the car with the intention of crossing the frozen sea. When the passenger car hit a hole and began to sink, the man managed to get out onto the ice. Arriving at the nearest base, the husband spoke about the death of his 40-year-old wife.
The day after the incident, a diving group from the Divnogorsk search and rescue team went to the water area to search for the body. However, they only got it on January 17.
Nine people were involved in the work on the sea ice, six teams were used.
