And the diplomat described the letter dedicated to the investigation and sent to the UN by Germany, Denmark and Sweden as a “response”.
Nebenzia also said that “apparently, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, as a result of our efforts, have begun to realize that they are not only ignoring the requests of the Russian Federation, but also neglecting the opinion of the Security Council of the UN”.
“The discussions behind closed doors have shown how misunderstanding and discontent is growing due to the lack of information on the progress of the national investigations,” Nebenzia stressed.
According to the diplomat, “they received another ‘yellow card’ from the majority of the members of the Council” and decided to prepare a collective letter.
“Unfortunately,” he said, “this letter is very reminiscent of an unsubscribe and cannot replace a full briefing for Council members, where we could ask them the backlog of questions.”
Let us remember that these three countries ignored the invitation to participate in the UN Security Council.
Nebenzya also stressed that the letter repeated “the false thesis that Russia was supposedly informed about the progress of the investigation.”
