The World Chess Crown Contenders tournament has games in the third round. With eight players tied for first place, not a single game could be played in the third round to determine the winner.
On Sunday, the matches of the third round of the World Chess Candidates Tournament were played in Spain. Andrey Nepomniachtchi from Russia faced Azerbaijan’s Teimur Radjabov.
This holiday season has become the most transient. The final tournament, which included six games played over a span of three days, finished in an amicable draw.
Out of nine players, five were eliminated and four advanced to the next round.
After three rounds, Caruana and Nepomniachtchi are the leaders with 2.5 points each, Rapport, Firouzja, Duda, and Nakamura have 2 points each, and Ding Liren has 1 point within this round.
