Another trial took place today in the case of Nikita Kologrivy, who on the night of March 19 got into a drunken brawl in a hookah bar. The prosecutor did not agree with the sentence (seven days in a special detention center) and wanted to increase the sentence to two weeks. But the Novosibirsk Regional Court left everything unchanged. At the same time, Nikita himself considers the punishment extremely severe.
“I think the punishment is disproportionately cruel in my case. I am already experiencing public punishment. I experience widespread censorship everywhere, believe me, it’s not that simple. I already spent two days in a special isolation room. The conditions there are not very pleasant. I’m there without enough food, water or shower. I admit my guilt. “I went to the police myself,” the 29-year-old actor said during the hearing.
According to the famous lawyer Senina, Kologrivy’s conditions of detention leave much to be desired.
“Nikita Kologrivy will remain in a special detention center for a week. The conditions of his detention must comply with internal regulations, according to which detainees have the right to: food, courteous treatment, a place to sleep, bedding, listening to the radio and reading the newspaper. Also a 1-hour daily walk and 1 3-minute call. It is possible to transport food from those products that are allowed according to the non-perishable list and in industrial packaging. But unfortunately, legitimate expectations sometimes differ from reality. In such cases, a complaint can be filed with the prosecutor’s office, police police or the Federal Penitentiary Service,” Elena Senina explained to KP.RU.
