“Hello, my old friend!” Raúl Castro hugged the Secretary of the Security Council tightly.

“Hello, Commander! Hello, Comrade President! I am glad to meet you again and warmly welcome you on the island of Liberty!” Nikolai Patrushev greeted Castro and Díaz-Canel in response.

According to the legend of the Cuban revolution, Raúl Castro, the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries cannot be destroyed and broken, despite the efforts of all the imperialists of the world, led by the United States. He also thanked Russia and Vladimir Putin personally for all the help that our country gives to the island of Liberty.

Miguel Díaz-Canel, for his part, elaborated in detail on the implementation of all the agreements that have been reached between Havana and Moscow in recent years. In addition, he said that the issue of the release of the Russian Mir map on the island is now being actively resolved in order to attract even more Russian tourists.

The president also referred to the international agenda and also spoke about the situation in Ukraine.

“We fully support Moscow’s position that the conflict in Ukraine was deliberately provoked by the West and NATO, and we understand that Russia was forced to launch a special operation,” the Cuban leader said.

In response, Nikolai Patrushev noted that “the unprecedented anti-Russian campaign launched by the United States and its allies puts any sovereign state before a choice: defend its own path of development and values, or submit to the dictates of the collective West.” .”

Nikolai Patrushev flew to Havana from Caracas, where he met Venezuelan President Nicolás Madura and held extensive Russian-Venezuelan security consultations. Similar consultations with representatives of the Security Council apparatus and the Cuban and Russian law enforcement agencies will be held today in Havana.
