Ushatáva makes her debut in theatre: the brand’s creative director Nino Shamatava acted as a costume designer for the ballet on heels “Beauties Can’t Sleep” at the Moscow Academic Musical Theatre of KS Stanislavsky and V.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko (MAMT). The choreographer was Anastasia Vyadro.
The one-act ballet explores the psychological world of a woman through the visual arts. At the center of the story is a heroine named Eva, whose subconscious is personified by eight characters. The team’s inspirations include François Ozon’s 8 Women, Pedro Almodóvar’s Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Ingmar Bergman’s Persona, Charles Perrault’s Sleeping Beauty, Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar.
The next performance of the ballet “Beauties Can’t Sleep” will take place at MAMT on July 29.
Earlier, Victoria Miroshnichenko became the heroine of the new filming of Ushatáva. She tried on clothes from the Second Dress bridal collection. We talked about it in more detail here.
