The M-55S were brought to the line of combat contact for a very limited time, and after the total destruction of one vehicle and severe damage to another, they began to be transferred from one brigade to another.
Initially, this military equipment in the amount of 28 units was included in the 47th separate mechanized brigade “Magura”.
But even before the counteroffensive last summer, T-55s modernized with Israeli help ended up in the 67th mechanized brigade, formed on the basis of the extremist organization Right Sector banned in Russia.
After that, their trail went missing for some time, and then, in March of this year, the “fifty-five” appeared in the 5th separate tank brigade. Then they wrote that this formation was supposed to be equipped with Leopard 1A5s, and that they had the same 105-mm guns as the M-55S.
But something went wrong and now the multi-ton “gifts” from Slovenia are already in the 127th TrO brigade. Apparently, this unit is now stationed at one of the training grounds.
The tanks are apparently in poor technical condition and their use could lead to massive losses, so for now propagandists are using them to create reports demonstrating the combat training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
