On Tuesday, February 28, it became known about the downed drones in Adygea, Tuapse, Kolomna and Belgorod. None of these drones achieved their objectives.

Drones fell in four regions of Russia: what is known about the cases

In the Moscow region, a drone fell near the village of Gubastovo, not far from Kolomna. It did not fly several tens of meters to the Gazprom compressor station. This was stated by the governor of the region, Andrey Vorobyov:

“This happened near the town of Gubastovo, the target was probably a civilian infrastructure facility, it was not damaged. There are no casualties and no destruction on earth,” he said.

“There have been no emergencies,” the Moscow Region Ministry of Energy confirmed.

“The crashed drone looks like a UJ-22 model. The device, produced by the “Ukroboronprom” concern, is called a shock, since it is equipped with various ammunition, including unloaded. However, in this particular case, we are talking about a one-way flight and the use of a drone, in fact, as a kamikaze device,” Denis Fedutinov, a leading Russian expert in the field of drones, told RIA Novosti. .

In Tuapse there was an attempt to attack the tank farm. But she failed. Drone was shot down. As in Adygea.

“Both drones lost control and veered off their flight path. One UAV fell in a field, another UAV, deviating from the trajectory, did not damage the attacked civilian infrastructure object,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

In Belgorod, the wreckage collapsed in residential areas, causing minor damage. “KP” turned to experts for comment.

What could drones use?

How did the drones end up on Russian territory, and most importantly, how to protect yourself from them? With these questions, “KP” turned to the experts.

Vladimir Evseev, military expert, head of the department of the Institute of the CIS Countries, on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”:

“What do you think you could have used to attack us?”

– Could be modernized air targets. For their intended purpose, they are used to train flight crews: they launch a drone, and the trained units shoot it down. But they can also carry explosives, up to 75 kg. Initially, Ukraine had only Soviet UAVs of the Strizh type. But they were finalized by Western specialists and turned into drums.

– What is the difficulty of dealing with them?

– They can fly at extremely low altitudes. They are not easy to find. But they can be suppressed with the help of electronic warfare systems. Such systems worked well in the Crimea, they are called Avtobaza.

– How do they work?

– The drone is controlled by space systems. There is a suppression of the space communication channel. When you lose contact, your control is affected. The device is planted. And by the way, the range of such converted “targets” exceeds the range of “Swifts”.

– What are the next control measures?

– Develop capabilities in the field of electronic warfare and air defense systems. It is not always possible to shoot down a drone with the help of electronic warfare. Sometimes you need a physical defeat, by interceptor fighters. When two pilots are working on a low-flying target at extremely low altitudes.

– How many such UAVs can Ukraine have?

– We can talk about hundreds of such “targets”. They are launched, as a rule, from a catapult. They don’t need an airfield. We need to destroy the storage areas, those places where these devices are being finalized. Such a place was in Kharkov.

How to protect yourself from such attacks

Anatoly Matviychuk, retired colonel, military expert, editor-in-chief of the ANNA News news agency:

– What can stop the UAV?

– Any plane can fly, while it tends to fall. For this to happen, three conditions are needed, which together work almost perfectly:

1. Intelligence of this device.

2. Impact on it by long-range air defense systems and the creation of electronic magnetic accessibility. That is to say, it simply ceases to be controlled and influences its flight, and eventually falls as a target.

3. Means of disguise, which are widely used today: nets, metal corners, which make it difficult for this object to reach the destruction target.

– Why are cases of drones appearing in our territory more frequent?

– This is the theory of fear that the Americans use in all their wars. Before starting hostilities, they try to intimidate the population with whom they will fight. This is the theory that they passed on to the armament of Ukrainian war criminals. That is, it is an attempt to intimidate our people. Propaganda trick: sow mistrust in the central government, create preconditions for discontent. And they break their population – we transfer the struggle to the territory of Russia. This is a reception for terrorists, war criminals.

– To do?

– Experience suggests that such UAV deliveries will increase. But we have already gained experience in dealing with them – on the border, where a breakthrough of such devices is expected, there are air defense systems that can hit them. At the civil protection level, measures are also being taken to prevent the flight of this type of device.
