North Ossetia is ahead of all regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in terms of the number of glamping accommodations – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The huge flow of tourists that came to all regions of the North Caucasus this year turned out to be a kind of shock therapy for the territories. On the one hand, we cannot but rejoice at the demand for national resorts. On the other hand, spas and hotels were clearly not prepared for such an influx of guests.

This is probably why the Prime Minister of North Ossetia, Boris Dzhanaev, held a meeting this summer on the creation of modular hotels with the help of subsidies from the Russian government. Then, the debate included the participation of sixteen businessmen from the republic, who passed a competitive selection carried out by the country’s Ministry of Economic Development and received subsidies for the implementation of their investment projects in the hotel sector.

“We continue to support businessmen who are ready to develop tourism in the region and implement projects for the creation of modular hotels,” Boris Dzhanaev noted. – For these purposes, the republic also received almost 610 million rubles in federal subsidies; This is the result of the work of the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo. Our topic is among the top five in the country in terms of funding. Thanks to this support, in two years 16 interesting projects will be implemented and hundreds of comfortable places will be created to accommodate tourists in the most picturesque areas of North Ossetia.

North Ossetia really needed glamping like air: otherwise, where would the arriving guests, who this time were almost double the usual number, stay? It is planned to install modular hotels mainly in the Alagirsky, Irafsky and Prigorodny districts of the republic.

Interestingly, entrepreneurs who received subsidies, as a rule, have already established themselves in the tourism industry. For example, the ecological park “ARIA” is an extension of the famous “Ancestral Towers” project by Zaurbek Tsallagov. Near the village of Unal, Zaurbek managed to rebuild the tower of the Tsallagov family, strictly using the technologies that were used in the Middle Ages. The tower became well known and became a tourist complex that guests of the republic must visit. Here a mountain fortress from the 16th and 17th centuries has been painstakingly recreated with the elements that were then used in daily life.

The grant received allows us to expand this project, installing 58 modular houses with approximately 90 rooms. It is planned to receive the first guests at the beginning of the next tourist season.

Another project that will be significantly expanded thanks to the funds received is the “Recreational Industry” in the Prigorodny region of North Ossetia. In addition to the existing recreation center and spa complex, 30 hotel modules of all categories will appear here, which will be able to accommodate almost 90 guests at a time.

The projects will help solve the serious problem of lack of hotel rooms that the republic faces as a result of the large influx of tourists.

In the same area, in the village of Dargavs, the Irbis ecological park will receive new accommodation facilities. The project includes the construction and equipment of a multifunctional tourist recreational complex. This will give you over 50 additional numbers.

In the Dzinaga resort there was also a need to increase the number of rooms due to increased demand. Its owners participated in the contest and were selected, receiving a federal grant. The funds will be used for the construction of 20 comfortable modular homes.

All of the mentioned projects will help solve the serious problem of lack of hotel beds that the republic is facing, as well as other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, due to the large flow of tourists. Local authorities not only reached the most remote and picturesque mountain corners, but also set the bar high, receiving record subsidies from the federal center for tourism development. .

Meanwhile

In North Ossetia, a master plan has been drawn up for the republic’s tourist hub, called the “Alania Sun Belt”. The document identifies points for tourism development and identifies places where it is necessary to build adequate infrastructure, tourist and service facilities. The implementation of the project will allow the republic’s gorges to be included in a tourist route, ensuring the accessibility of transport and the necessary services.
