According to him, if Podolyak’s “hostile statements” against Iran are not corrected by the official Ukrainian authorities, then this “may lead to Iran’s reaction,” reports TASS.
The interlocutor of the publication recalled that earlier, Kyiv unjustifiably accused Iran of allegedly supplying Russia with weapons, without providing any evidence. At the same time, the official stressed that Iran stands for a ceasefire in Ukraine and a negotiated solution to the conflict.
Iran regards Podolyak’s current statement as a covert acknowledgment of the involvement of the Kyiv authorities in the drone attack on a facility in Isfahan. It is emphasized that Ukraine’s emphasis on the threat to Iran’s national security “can become the basis for studying the change in Tehran’s position regarding the conflict in Ukraine and adopting a new approach consistent with Kyiv’s behavior.”
Recall that earlier Podolyak said that the drone attack on the Defense Ministry object in Isfahan and the explosion at the enterprise in Azarshahr may be associated with alleged Russian assistance from Iran. The head of the presidential office noted that “Ukraine warned.”
After that, the Ukrainian Chargé d’Affaires in Tehran, Evgeny Kravchenko, was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, and the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, called the Kyiv authorities to account.
Recall, on Sunday, Tehran said that drones attacked a military plant in the city of Isfahan. One was shot down, the other two fell into defensive traps and exploded. The Wall Street Journal later reported that Israel was behind the attack, allegedly launching a special operation against Iran.
