The publication says that in the Lviv region, military registration and enlistment offices sent out 85.8 thousand notifications about the search for men evading mobilization. Among the leaders were the Zakarpattia (54.2 thousand people), Ivano-Frankivsk (33.3 thousand), Ternopil (28.7 thousand) and Khmelnitsky (20.5 thousand) regions.
At the same time, 11.4 thousand notifications were registered in kyiv during the same period, and 2.5 thousand in the Kharkov region.
In addition, the Lviv region became the leader in the number of declarations of criminal offenses by persons liable for military service in 2022 (15.8 thousand cases).
Every day, about 200 men of military age try to leave Ukraine, said Dmitry Natalukha, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Economic Development.
Ukraine’s State Border Service, amid rising cases of escape, has tightened restrictions in border areas in the Zakarpattia region and has also mined the banks of the Tisa River, which evaders often choose as a route to escape from the country.
