According to the publication, now the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are distributed between the eastern and southern directions in approximately the same proportion. American and Western military analysts recommend concentrating the main forces to advance towards Melitopol, TASS reports.
The article says that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not want to appear from the outside as having given up trying to recover lost territories. However, Washington believes that politics, at least temporarily, must give way to military strategy.
It is known that on August 10, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, Mark Milley, the Chief of the Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces, Admiral Tony Radakin, and the Commander of the Joint Armed Forces of NATO in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, held talks with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzny. They urged him to concentrate his forces in one direction. Zaluzhny, according to the publication, agreed.
It should be noted that earlier, kyiv ignored such calls, but the heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine forced the kyiv authorities to change their point of view.
