“I hated bobsleigh. It was a nightmare,” writes the 60-year-old.
She said she couldn’t just stop training because too much attention was being paid to her move away from track and field to pursue bobsled and her plans to compete in the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
“I wanted to get caught so I could get this over with,” he admits.
Enquist became an Olympic champion in 1996 in the 100-meter hurdles. After moving to Sweden, she took up bobsleigh. A year before the Salt Lake City Olympics, she was disqualified for doping and the athlete ended her career.
