“We immediately started searching,” Andrey Chernov, head of Millerovsky’s search and rescue team, told RG. – The guys were looking for him all night, but, as it turned out later, in the wrong area.
An announcement also appeared on the LizaAlert forum that a hunter with two dogs was missing. The search was attended by a district police officer, criminal investigation agents, traffic police, rescue workers, the military and the relatives themselves.
At about 1:20 p.m. the next day, Vasily Mikhailovich was found in a forest belt, lying on frozen ground. Apparently, he had a stroke and the man was unable to move or speak. Therefore, the mobile phone could not help him either.
Near the hunter lay his faithful dogs – the breeds of the Russian hound and husky. They did not leave the owner and all this time they warmed him with his heat. Everyone who participated in the search was struck by this devotion to animals. In addition, they kept an eye on the owner, not letting strangers near him, until the hunter’s wife arrived. One of the dogs, as reported on the Telegram channel of the Department for Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations of the Rostov Region, was seriously injured; maybe he fought a wild beast and saved his owner.
The hunter was hospitalized, but unfortunately his life could not be saved.
