Date: March 29, 2024 Time: 16:04:14

– This auditorium is the heart of the university and is different from others in our university. It is unique and appreciated by everyone who works at the USPTU, because 20 years ago Russian President Vladimir Putin met our employees and students here. Now, thanks to our graduate Ayyub Babirov, who directly participated in the creation of the audience, it has become even more valuable, strengthening the friendship between the USPTU and Azerbaijan, – said USPTU Rector Oleg Baulin.

According to him, there are not so many Azerbaijani students studying at the Ufa Oil Institute, but a close relationship with this republic has been established. After all, the Baku oil workers made a huge contribution to the development of the oil industry in Bashkiria, sending us in the 1930s not only equipment and tools, but also their best specialists. And the well-known Azerbaijani scientist Azat Mirzajanzade was a teacher of many professors of the Ufa Oil Institute, including two former rectors of the university Airat Shammazov and Ramil Bakhtizin. Also, in 2015, USPTU became co-chair of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities, which includes 32 universities of the Russian Federation and 16 Azerbaijani universities.

– We hold a large number of joint events with Azerbaijani universities: round tables, competitions, our scientists publish various publications and co-authored scientific articles, act as opponents in defense of candidates, come on an exchange. We are now sharing our experience with our colleagues on the climate agenda, carbon dumps. We have many ideas for joint research. Every year, representatives of Azerbaijani universities come to Ufa for the “Gas. Oil. Technologies” forum, where we hold joint round tables. And this year we decided to coincide with this date the opening of the Azerbaijani audience at our university, – said Oleg Baulin.

At the opening ceremony of the auditorium, the deputy of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis, a member of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, Sabir Kamal oglu Hajiyev, admitted that he was impressed by what he saw. He expressed his hope that the thoughtful and colorful design of the auditorium would have a positive impact on student achievement.

– The opening of this auditorium in the year when Azerbaijan celebrates the centenary of our national leader Heydar Aliyev is very significant! I think if you saw this beautiful audience, you would like the design very much, there are many ornaments, everything is done with taste. All over the world we respect and love the USPTU, and we are proud that it has a dedicated audience for Azerbaijan! – said Sabir Kamal oglu Hajiyev. – I hope that students study in this class with pleasure and simply cannot afford to get bad grades.
