According to the website of the Kolyma prosecutor’s office, the regional prosecutor Dmitry Razuvaev submitted the corresponding legislative initiative.
The Magadan Regional Duma supported his proposal and amended the regional law “On social support for orphans”. The social payment will allow citizens to choose and buy homes in the region independently, using, in addition to certificates, their savings, maternity capital and mortgage funds.
Housing certificates can be obtained by persons who have reached the age of 23 and have been working for at least six months.
