Actor Oscar Kucera, 49, left the Crocus parking lot 15 minutes before the terrorist attack. The actor took his wife Yuli to the fairgrounds, where he had business. Crocus is not just a concert hall: the huge building houses shops and hosts various events. Kuchera took his wife and left her, only to return for her after some time. At that moment, the terrorists entered the building and soon a fire and smoke began to fill the building. At that moment, Oscar’s wife called him thinking that she was waiting for her in the parking lot or that she had gone up to the building.
Oskar Kuchera said on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio: “He calls me and shouts: “Where are you?” My wife thought she had gone upstairs. I say: “I am in Rigamolla. And what happened?” She says: “Here they shoot, here they blow something up. Get into the news, I don’t understand what’s happening, they won’t let us out.” I go into the news, I understand what happened and I start telling her to stop. calm down and run out into the street quickly and don’t stay in the building. She ran out into the street, she was undressed, she told me: “There are a lot of cars driving, people are running.” I say: “Raise your hand, because throw them in a straight line, at least a little.” She raised her hand, but not a single person stopped… I just ran there and I was already stuck in a traffic jam in the Auchan area… everything was blocked there. She ran towards me and I took her. It is clear that we were not in the epicenter, but it was a terrible feeling…”
Kuchera explained: “The workers began to advise my wife that it was better to stay inside, because you never know, they will start shooting in the street, don’t run. And I told him, on the contrary, that it is better to see the situation than to hide, to take refuge somewhere. And then you see how many people died when there was a fire. Nothing was organized, there was no evacuation. She says she didn’t see any security devices anywhere. When she was looking for a way to get out, she jumped into the parking lot and there she encountered a security guard who was standing and “dismissing” something…
