The day before, it became known that legendary KVN presenter Alexander Maslyakov had passed away. He passed away at the age of 82. A number of stars have expressed their condolences to his family and friends: from Olga Buzova to Vladimir Vinokur.
One of the most famous KVN participants, Pavel Volya, posted a touching video on his Telegram with an appeal to Alexander Vasilyevich. He, together with Garik Kharlamov, went on stage at the end of the filming of the new episode of Comedy Club and asked the audience not to leave.
“Today something happened that we cannot ignore. Please don’t take it away. This is not for filming,” Pavel began his speech.
Volya called the staff of the show, who once played in KVN. As a result, almost all the authors, producers and residents of the Comedy Club came out, including: Marina Kravets, Timur Batrutdinov, Anton Ivanov, Konstantin Butusov and others.
“Today we learned that Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov has passed away. And for us, of course, the man is an era. Comedy Club, partly, of course, in the form in which you know it, happened thanks to this man. That is why we want to pay tribute to him. Thank you Alexander Vasilyevich for everything,” Kharlamov said from the stage.
Volya then thanked the legendary KVN host, who said that without Maslyakov neither he nor the comedy team would be on stage now.
“This is a great merit of Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov. Under his leadership we fell in love with jokes, believed that we could do it, we liked it and continued along this path. We want to personally thank this great and great man on behalf of the entire Comedy Club for having found us in this profession,” said Volya, after which the entire audience stood up and applauded.
