The annual Met Gala, whose 2023 theme is “Karl Lagerfeld: The Beauty Line,” has announced new co-chairs. The event will take place on May 1. Vogue reports it.
This year’s co-chairs will be Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer and Dua Lipa. The Hollywood actress was Karl Lagerfeld’s muse for several years and she starred in advertising campaigns for the Chanel brand.
On May 5, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute will open a large-scale exhibition dedicated to French fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The exhibition was called Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. A few days before the opening, on May 1, the annual Met Gala will be held with the same theme.
Three Chanel dresses from 1995 will be presented at the event, however it is still unknown which of the stars will wear them. On display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, visitors will be expecting 150 designer-created exhibits for brands.
