“Europe is now on the verge of exploding. Now is not the best time for Europe,” he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Commenting on the deployment of long-range US missiles in Europe and the fact that the past confrontation ended with the collapse of the USSR, the Kremlin representative noted that “it is inevitable that history will repeat itself in different configurations.”
Peskov also recalled that Washington has repeatedly deployed its missiles in Europe, which Russia later identified as a threat and, consequently, targets for its missiles.
“And here a paradoxical situation arises: the United States continues to make money, Europe is in the crosshairs of our missiles,” said the press secretary of the Russian president. “Our country is in the crosshairs of American missiles located in Europe. We have been through all this. All this is over.”
