On Wednesday, February 22, a journalist from Komsomolskaya Pravda invited the official representative of the Kremlin to discuss the topic of the event held on Tuesday, February 21, related to the President’s Message.
… – Dmitry Sergeevich, I, probably, was in all the President’s Messages. And after yesterday’s event I had the feeling that in Gostiny Dvor there were much more people than usual. That is, this could be judged by the number of seats in the room, two cabinets were completely full, more than usual, a buffet, etc. And the press was, in my opinion, also one and a half times more, and it worked more freely than in previous years. So, many thanks to the press service. What is it all connected with and whose decision is it?
“Listen, this is the decision of the Presidential Administration,” Peskov explained. – And then, again, the composition of the guests was largely dictated by the current situation, which we have already discussed with you more than once.
On the one hand, it was necessary to guarantee the epidemiological safety (which is still very important) of the head of state. And on the other hand, the conditions, as it were, made it possible to invite more people.
In addition, of course, the infrastructure of the Gostiny Dvor accommodates a lot of people, because there is simply much more space there than in the Georgievsky Hall of the Kremlin.
– On the eve of the speech, you said, – I asked the next question, – that representatives of the media from hostile countries would be denied accreditation. Did anyone have to refuse?
– And so it was done. In fact, practically all of those who were present here in the Russian Federation, the foreign media applied for accreditation, but we did not accredit them.
– Another question. How did Vladimir Vladimirovich evaluate this event? I mean, first of all, the responses, a huge number, and not only here, but a lot, abroad. Did he see, read, look? There are usually headlines: “Putin blew up an information bomb.” What impression does Vladimir Putin have of this event, which is still going on?
– The president, for obvious reasons, does not have the ability to track all the responses, – replied the press secretary, – for this, there are relevant services of the Presidential Administration that prepare such summary information on the responses.
Naturally, the president cannot get acquainted with all this information, but, of course, he will be able to read something.
The speeches of the President of Russia with the annual Address to the Federal Assembly are always an event that attracts the attention of both the world community and the Russian community in the first place.
– Thank you so much.
– Please.
