As the leader of the Islamic Republic stressed, Washington deliberately escalated the situation in order to put pressure on the Iranian people. Pezeshkian recalled that Iran’s defense doctrine does not contain provisions on the use of the country’s nuclear potential.
“Responsible officials in Washington must admit that the policy of pitting regional states against each other does not and will not lead to success,” the Iranian president said, affirming the White House’s support for Israel’s nuclear ambitions.
Earlier, Masoud Pezeshkian called stabilizing relations with the West, including Tehran’s nuclear program, one of his priorities as president. At the same time, he stressed the importance of strategic dialogue between his state and Russia.
