Director Jody Hill is working on a new film called Famous, which explores the dark side of fame. The main roles in the film will be played by Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor and Zac Efron, Deadline writes about this.
The film will take place in Los Angeles. Efron will play two characters at once: Hollywood star James Jansen and his fan Lance Dunquist. The latter wants to become famous for his resemblance to a celebrity. The role that Dynevor will play is kept secret for now.
Sam Esmail, Chad Hamilton and Michael Sagol will produce. Distributors will be A24 and Black Bear.
