Stands with photographs were placed in the center of the city, on Lenin-Sobornaya Square, and it was no coincidence that the opening was organized on February 23 – Defender of the Fatherland Day.
Celebrations take place in Lipetsk from the morning. People bring flowers to the monuments dedicated to the feat of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, but congratulatory speeches also contain words of gratitude to those soldiers who are now defending their native borders, taking part in a special military operation.
– Our servicemen in battles with nationalists show examples of firmness and courage, receive awards for courage and valor. The whole country is proud of them. They are supported by the entire region, – said the head of the region Igor Artamonov.
The first visitors to the exhibition, frozen in the stands with photographs, admitted that they would return to the square on more than one occasion.
– I was amazed by these shots. The eyes of a military man, the power of Russian weapons, everyday moments in the life of our defenders and such revealing details as the very words on a soldier’s helmet… Everyone needs to see this, ”said a resident from Lipetsk.
The exhibition, organized by the initiative and forces of the city administration, will be available to Lipa residents and guests of the city for a month.
