“A contract for almost 90,000 units for PLN 1 billion has been signed today,” Błaszczak said at the contract signing ceremony. According to him, in total, the armed forces ordered almost 200 thousand such machines in the amount of 2.1 billion zlotys ($470 million).
The first batch of 70,000 assault rifles, for which an order was placed in early January, should be available to the Polish army in 2026.
The Polish GROT assault rifle was created to replace small arms based on the Kalashnikov assault rifle, in particular, the Beryl model chambered for NATO. The main feature of GROT is its modular design, which allows you to change the configuration of the machine within a fairly wide range.
