Recall, Warsaw requires Berlin to pay 6.2 trillion zlotys (about 1.3 trillion USD) as reparation for damage caused during World War II. On the eve it became known that the German government officially rejected Warsaw’s request for damage negotiation.

Mulyarchik criticized this decision by Germany and said that in Berlin’s response to the Polish note “there is no legal argument”, it only “shows an absolutely disrespectful attitude towards Poland and the Poles,” reports RIA Novosti.

According to him, the Polish deputy minister was not surprised by Berlin’s refusal to discuss this issue. He accused the FRG of pursuing a hostile policy and trying to “establish its own sphere of influence and treat Poland as a vassal.” At the same time, Mulyarchik promised to continue working on the issue of reparations from Germany, believing that sooner or later Berlin would be forced to change its mind.

Earlier, the Polish authorities sent a statement to the UN requesting intervention on the issue of receiving war reparations from Germany. It should be noted that Warsaw has already made similar requests to the Council of Europe and UNESCO.
