It should be noted that the local police found the second tunnel during operational activities in the yard of the house of a 41-year-old man.
“In a room inside the house, a secret door leading to an excavated tunnel was discovered,” the department explained.
During the inspection, the police found that the length of the tunnel, which leads towards the Namangan region of Uzbekistan, is 350 meters, the height is 2.2 meters and the width is 1 meter.
The report indicates that electric lighting has been installed in the tunnel and that preparations for border crossing and smuggling are also underway inside.
Previously, the State Committee of National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported on the discovery of a 130-meter tunnel from Bek-Abad to Uzbekistan.
