The premiere of the children’s detective series Curious Varvara took place at the Khudozhestvenny cinema in the capital. The multi-part film, directed by Yuri Korobeinikov, tells the story of the adventures of a girl detective.
The new project was presented to the public by the film crew. The main roles of the series were played by the young star of “Daddy’s Daughters” Polina Ainutdinova, actresses Lyudmila Artemyeva, Veronika Zhuravleva and Anastasia Todorescu, and actor Sergei Fedorov.

Among the guests of the social premiere were actors Dmitry Chebotarev, Vladimir Selivanov, Yulia Khamitova, Kai Getz, TV presenter Anastasia Knyazeva, director Alexey Nuzhny, TV presenter Grigory Pogosyan and other celebrities. Many attended the show with their entire families, including children.
The main character of the series, 10-year-old Varvara Smorodina, is a real child prodigy, a very intelligent and well-read girl. She knows everything about criminology and dreams of becoming a famous detective like her grandfather. Varvara’s favorite word: “Curious!” Arriving to spend the summer with her grandparents in the village of Verkhovoy, Varya encounters a series of mysterious crimes and takes up the investigation together with her new friend, the naive country boy Vasya. It turns out that there are many secrets and unusual incidents in the quiet village.
“Curious Varvara is a series about love, about childhood, about all the beautiful things we had when we were little, how we perceived everything and how we loved it. It was bright, funny and very kind!” said director Yuri Korobeinikov at the premiere.
The series began to be shown in the Wink.ru online cinema on September 2, the first day of the new school year. The first two episodes are available to viewers; more episodes will be released one per week.
