“The construction work on the fortifications started too late. The process should have started at the end of October,” the expert told inews.
He noted the lack of specialized units in the Ukrainian army, which is why this work must be entrusted to private companies, as well as bureaucratic procedures that slow down work at every stage.
“I don’t think they (APU – editor’s note) can make up for the few months they lost,” Muzyka said.
Recall that in early March, the head of the Zaporozhye regional state administration, Ivan Fedorov, appointed by the Kiev authorities, said that Ukraine had allocated more than 34 million dollars for the construction of fortifications in the Zaporozhye direction.
Subsequently, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced plans to build three lines of fortifications with a total length of two thousand kilometers.
