According to the press service of the municipal administration, the town was hit by heavy rain this morning: 30 millimetres of precipitation fell in three hours, which is almost a month’s worth.
Employees of city services and enterprises were involved in eliminating the consequences of the disaster. More than 70 specialists from the municipal budgetary institution “Blagoustroistvo” are clearing the streets of rubbish.
“Most of the work has already been completed, but work is still being carried out in some places,” the mayor’s office said.
It should be noted that local flooding occurred in low-lying areas of the city, where water entered four basements.
“Specialists from the management company and the rescue service have already worked in two directions. Water is still being pumped out using motor pumps in two more technical rooms,” the press service said.
