The documentary “Cinema 3.0” by producer and film critic Nikita Kartsev will premiere exclusively on Premier online cinema. Today, September 11, the first episode will premiere. This is a multi-part documentary that tells in detail about Russian cinema from 1992 – when the word “Russia” began to be written in the “Country of Production” column – to the present.
“Cinema 3.0 is not an anthology, nor an academic study, nor a praise to our cinema. More like a free essay on a certain topic. A set of feelings and associations. An attempt to discover what really happened to us during these thirty years, and what in the movies was just a dream,” says Nikita Kartsev, author of the idea of the project.
Popular directors, actors and producers will share their memories of their careers in Russian cinema, their favorite films and roles. Among them are Fyodor Bondarchuk, Gosha Kutsenko, Evgeny Tsyganov, Zhora Kryzhovnikov, Alexey Nuzhny, Pyotr Buslov, Vladimir Khotinenko, Sergey Selyanov, Egor Konchalovsky, Pyotr Anurov and many others.
“Cinema 3.0” is a look at the history of our country through the prism of cinema. “Did time create these movies or did time create these movies?” – says one of the project’s mottos. The creators will try to find out what influence the surrounding reality had on the filmmakers and how the creators themselves influenced the minds of the viewers.
Previously, Premier online cinema released the film “The Cast” with dancer Diana Vishneva. In it, the dancer travels through eras. We talk in more detail here.
