For more than two decades, the price of chairs in the Official Holy Week Race in Seville has not stopped growing due to inflation and operating costs, causing them to currently double what was paid at the end of the century. . past. Although the Council of Brotherhoods achieved exemption from paying VAT, it seemed that given the current situation it was necessary to raise the price of chairs in all sectors of the official route.
In this way, the total income from the sale of chairs and boxes in the Official Race, which will kick off on March 24, when the first Nazarene of Love asks permission at the Palquillo de la Campana, already reaches 3 .7 million euros, a figure that the brotherhoods of Seville use for their charity purse and other daily expenses.
Prices of chairs during Holy Week in Seville 2024
Seat passes allow you to enjoy the Holy Week processions from a seat, with a cost depending on the different sectors that are part of the official route.
In the Plaza de la Campana the prices range from 148.43 euros for the Campana to 187.32 euros for Zone 1 of the Grandstand, while in Zone 2 of the same the cost of the chair is 168. 83 euros. In Sierpes, for its part, the cost is 148.43 euros, while in the Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes we find the cheapest ones, having a price of 85.63 euros.
On Avenida de la Constitución we find four different prices, the cheapest being Section 60 (from Alemanes Street to Cathedral) and Section 70 (from García Vinuesa Street to La Ibense) where the price per chair is 116.10 euros ; followed by Sections 40 (from Banco Santander to Starbucks) and 50 (from Filella to García de Vinuesa street), where it rises slightly to 119.74 euros. For its part, on this same avenue, in the seats in the Banco España sector the price is 134.04 euros and in the Tribuna Faro it rises to 152.62 euros.
As for Plaza San Francisco, where we find prices ranging from 708.86 euros for the furthest rows in sector C to 962.14 euros for the first rows in sectors A, B and C, passing through the 792.75 euros and 881.88 euros for the intermediate proximity options, with those that allow you to see the Holy Week processions as close as possible being more expensive. The Avenida Palcos have a price per chair of 881.88 euros.
In this way, a notable increase has been seen compared to last year, with cases in which an increase is close to 100 euros.
