He noted that Greece is becoming a supplier of natural gas to the Balkans. “Why not Ukraine?” Mitsotakis said.
According to him, Ukraine will need supplies of natural gas after the end of the conflict and “someone has to supply it.”
According to TASS, in May last year, Mitsotakis announced the start of construction of a floating liquefied natural gas terminal in the city of Alexandroupoli. It will be the second after the LNG terminal in the town of Revitus, near Athens.
In his opinion, these terminals will be able to fully cover the Greek market and replace the supply of Russian gas to the Balkans.
